Most students who take our braiding course want to take the next step to get a professional braiding license, so they can put their skills to work. While we can’t guarantee employment after completing our course, we can help you find a job. We have relationships with local salons, and we maintain a job board exclusively for our students and alumni. Your future goals are important, and we want to help you achieve them!

Our braiding program is the shortest program we have, which is beneficial for students who want to start doing what interests them faster. Even though it is only 50 hours, it can still help you reach your career goals and set your professional life into motion. Hair braiding professionals are needed in salons. If you are an entrepreneur, you could even open up your own hair braiding business. There may be more career options than you are aware of!
Here are some professional career options for hair braiders:
Tuition for the program is $600. Books and kit cost $225. Uniforms cost $100. There is also a $50 registration fee. Total cost is $975.
Although we do offer federal financial aid for some of our programs, we cannot offer it for the braiding program because of the length of the program. If you are wondering how you can pay the tuition, contact us, and we can talk about payment plans.
No, we only offer this program in English.
Students can learn a wide variety of braiding types and techniques, such as cornrows, lemonade braids, Fulani braids, knotless braids, stitch braids, and much more! Braids with extensions are also covered in this program.
I recently graduated at Total Image and I can say I enjoyed and learned a lot during my time there. The environment is very welcoming in this school, and my teachers were always really supportive towards me. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in the program.

I had an amazing experience at Total Image Beauty Academy. Mr. Mike, Irene,, Sylvia, & Tania were all very helpful to me during my time there. All the girls i’ve met in the school were all so sweet & made the environment feel more comfortable/ welcoming. I definitely enjoyed being a senior & taking clients with the help of two of the best teachers ( Miss Gomez & Miss Jimenez😊) They assist the students with their clients & prepare them for what it’s going to be like when they graduate & work in salons, I just recently graduated from the school & i can honestly say, I really enjoyed my time there.
